		<description>I think I must be at a central hub for high-altitude flyovers.  There is a lot of air traffic that comes in from the west and curves south.  The weather has been perfect in Seattle recently for lingering contrail formation.  

And of course nothing changes the fact that these are normal contrails.  I don&#039;t remember the numbers, but the increase in air travel over the last 30 years has been phenomenal.  So of course the sky doesn&#039;t look the same way it did when some of us were kids.  I am all for looking up though, and observing the awesome phenomenons in the sky.  We&#039;ve had some nice sunsets recently too, with a lot of smog from automobiles lingering close to the ground.  That always makes the lingering contrails colorful.</description>
